Endorsements from Olympic Cyclists
Nicole Cooke

Nicole Cooke is currently Britain's top
female cyclist. As a Junior, she achieved remarkable success, winning 4
World titles in the space of 12 months, across a range of disciplines
from Road Race to Time Trials and Mountain Biking.
2002 was Nicole's first season as a full time professional,
riding amongst the world's elite senior women. She
achieved an outstanding 7 wins during the season, the
highlight of which was undoubtedly the Commonwealth
Games Road Race at Manchester. Up against "Team
Australia", who posted 4 riders, including the World
Number 1, she achieved a remarkable win with a superb
sprint, despite having looked out of contention moments
earlier, when she overshot a bend.
2003 saw Nicole set the Cycling World alight
by clinching the World Cup Series in
August -
the first Briton to take the title and
the youngest
ever victor at the age of 20.
In December 2003, Nicole was voted BBC
Wales Sports Personality of the Year.
