Dr Gavin Reid

 

Gavin Reid is a senior lecturer in Educational Studies at the Moray House School of Education, University of Edinburgh. He is an experienced teacher, educational psychologist, university lecturer and researcher.

 

Gavin has made over 400 conference and seminar presentations throughout the UK. and in many other countries including: Norway, Denmark, Germany, United States, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Poland, Austria, Estonia, Cyprus and Hungary.

 

He has written and edited key course books for teacher training in the field of dyslexia and literacy. Dyslexia: A Practitioners Handbook has been used as a course text in many university and college courses on dyslexia world-wide.
 
Gavin is a consultant to a number of national and international projects in dyslexia and has been involved in evaluation of provision for students with dyslexia in Scotland, England and Wales. He is a director and consultant to the Red Rose School for students with specific learning difficulties.
