Clive Jeanes is former Managing Director of Milliken European Division, a post he held for 22 years. During this time the company became a market leader, and grew to enjoy an enviable reputation for its management approach, which culminated in it being awarded the prestigious European Quality Award in 1993.

Clive is founder Chairman of Excellence North West, which promotes business excellence in the region and administers the North West Business Excellence Awards. He is a much-sought after consultant and holds high profile roles including Chairman of the jury for the UK Business Excellence Award, Deputy Chairman of Governors of Manchester Metropolitan University and Chairman of the Wigan Borough Partnership and the North West Council for Training and Enterprise.

Alan Jones OBE

Alan Jones is the former Group Managing Director of TNT Express, with a workforce of more than 45,000 people in 62 countries. Prior to this he was in charge of TNT UK Limited, which won a succession of awards throughout the 1990's, culminating in the European Quality Award in 1998.

Alan is founder Chairman of Midlands Excellence, the organising body for the Midlands Excellence Awards and initiator of the Investors in Excellence Standard, which is now being taken up by numerous organisations throughout Europe. In October 1999 he was elected to the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Governing Committee.

In 1997 Alan became chairman of InKind Direct, one of the fastest growing charities in the UK. He was the Variety Club of Great Britain 1998 Businessman of the Year, winner of the 2000 Investors in People Ambassador Award and is a Special Professor at Nottingham University Business School.
