Simon
Woodroffe

Simon Woodroffe is
founder, owner and creative driving force behind YO! Sushi. He
left school at 16 and spent almost 30 years in the
entertainment business. Through the 1970's and 80's his production
companies, based in London and Los Angeles, designed rock 'n' roll
stages for artists like Rod Stewart, The Moody Blues and Stevie Wonder,
and events like Live Aid.
A natural progression led Simon into television at the
start of the 1990's. He spearheaded the development of TV deals to show
huge international rock concerts worldwide, organising the financing and
distribution of the Nelson Mandela concerts, shows for Amnesty
International and the Prince's Trust concerts.
YO! Sushi is intended to be a lifestyle brand that has
grown out of the initial restaurant concept where eating is turned into
a complete entertainment experience. The focus is now on the
international market where Simon is busy developing deals to take the
YO! brand across Europe and into the USA.
Simon has won many awards, including 1999 UK Entrepreneur of
the Year and 2000 Group Restaurateur of the Year. He speaks
extensively around the world at corporate and promotional events,
and is widely described as one of the best entrepreneurial and
marketing speakers in the UK. He has published the UK best-selling
The
