Philippa Stephen-Martin launched Cbabiesafe in April 2002. As a single working parent and after years of caring for her own daughter Mia, she came up with the idea of a nursery where parents could be part of their children's day.

Philippa's dream was to provide working parents with a nursery that not only cared for their children in a safe, friendly and welcoming environment, but also gave them  the opportunity to view their little ones on the internet, from a web-cam with a security password protected area, at any time, anywhere in the world!

Having taken out a large mortgage on a 5 bedroom house she found for her nursery business, Philippa had to make huge personal sacrifices in order to turn her dream into reality. Cbabiesafe is now well established with an annual turnover in excess of £250,000 and with nine qualified staff and teachers.

Philippa's success was recognised last year, when

she won the NatWest everywoman Award 2003,

which goes to the woman who has made the most

outstanding achievement in business in that year.
