Julian Richer

Julian Richer owns several businesses including 'Richer Sounds', the innovative UK hi-fi retailer. He opened his first shop at the age of 19, and now features in the 'Guinness Book of Records' as having the highest sales per square foot of any retail outlet world-wide.

In 1996 Julian was elected the youngest ever 'Business Communicator of The Year'. He passionately believes that if you treat people well, genuinely respect them and work hard constantly at motivating them, it should result in a group of people who value their jobs and value themselves.

He has advised some of the country's largest organisations at chief executive level, though he now spends more time on his philanthropic interests. He undertakes free consultancy work for some of the UK's largest charities and runs a Foundation which helped 250 good causes in 2000.

He is a director of Duchy Originals (the Prince of Wales' charitable trading company), one of only eight official "Ambassadors for Youth", is a member of the RNIB Advisory Board and vice president of the RSPCA.
