Henry Engelhardt set up and is now Chief Executive of Admiral Group. When Admiral launched in January 1993 it had no customers, 57 members of staff and just one brand. By January 2003 it had over 700,000 customers, 1500 members of staff and six brands, making it one of the UK's largest direct insurance groups.
